A beautiful/horrible post-apocalyptic mechanical circus, in the vein of Steampunk (think of the movie City of Lost Children). Art vs Life in the most romantic, brass-gear and blood-infused way. Surprisingly evocative and harrowing on every page. Lovely
writing.
