Kathleen Lawton-Trask

Kathleen Lawton-Trask is a writer and teacher living in Los Angeles, California. Her academic and creative interests include poetic form, 18th century women’s writing, miscellanies, and writing about domestic labour. She has written for  The Washington Post and Georgetown magazine as well as for peer-reviewed academic journals such as Eighteenth Century Life and ABO: Interactive Journal for Women in the Arts, 1640-1830. She has been a research fellow at the Huntington Library and holds an MFA in Fiction Writing from Columbia and a D.Phil. in British Literature from Oxford University. She teaches high school English and creative writing in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and two bookish children.
