Pen Parentis was recently honored by an invitation to sit on an upcoming Lower Manhattan Marketing Association panel about the future of the Downtown (below Canal Street) Arts Scene, measuring the current state of Downtown’s cultural institutions. Senator Daniel Squadron will speak to the government’s role in the arts, and various museums and larger 501c3 arts organizations will speak about surviving disasters both economic and natural. We were invited to represent the smaller arts organizations in the neighborhoods below Canal and to speak to the emerging local arts scene, specifically about how partnering with businesses can help both entities survive. Pen Parentis, Ltd.’s Executive Director, M. M. De Voe is scouring Lower Manhattan for new and emerging theater or dance companies, art galleries, literary organizations, and individual performers and artists to interview and highlight. Know any? Please email before Wednesday!
